I’m (Not) Stuck in the Middle With You – Bialetti Cookware Giveaway!

I already have (and cherish) a super cool Bialetti Hot Chocolate maker. So, when I had the chance to try out their new Aeternum Non-stick Cookware I didn’t have to even think twice about it. I have the regular assortment of pans – some high end and some….eh…not so high end. None of them are truly non-stick. It doesn’t stop me from amazing my family with beautiful meals….okay. They aren’t beautiful. I tend to lose half of it to the pan. It’s like some right of passage. A right of passage that I end up scrubbing for ten minutes afterwards.

Me: I need new pans.

Dear Husband: Why? You have plenty already.

Me: They stick.

Dear Husband: All of them?

Me: All of them.

Dear Husband: But that one right there says ‘non-stick’…it’s printed right on the pan…

Me: : The pan is a lie.

The problem with buying cookware is that they all promise a magical experience, but you have no way of testing it until you actually use them. Then, if they fall short, they’re already bought. Knowing the quality of Bialetti products from my previous experience – I had a feeling I’d finally get my non-stick wish. I was right.

The inside surface of the Aeternum cookware line has a  ”nano-ceramic” coating. “What the heck is nano-ceramic?” It’s a water-based coating made of titanium and suspended silicate micro-particles (the main component of glass); “one of the purest and most ecological materials in nature”. Because of this coating, the pans resists scratches, scuffs from use and it’s easier to clean. The white color also allows you to better see the cooking progress of your dish so you know when done is done.

The interior is heavy aluminum which means it conducts heat better and you need to worry less over controlling higher temperatures. The ergonomic, soft-touch handles also stay cool during use; no more pot holder just to shift your pan. What’s even better? They’re Eco Friendly. PFOA free. PTFE free. Cadmium free.

Perfectly unstuck omelette? Yes, please.

Now I don’t have to weigh down my cooking with butter or oils. I did find I needed to use a quick spritz of canola spray if cooking something that contained dairy – but otherwise these pans don’t have any ‘attachment issues’. The joy I experienced being able to finally flip an omelette or fried egg makes these pans my new KBFs (Kitchen Best Friends).

Bialetti is also a proud sponsor of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. A portion of every sale of the Pink Aeternum Cookware line will be donated to breast cancer research. This PINK 2-piece saute pan set includes:

- 9.5″ (24cm) Saute Pan

Having lived in France for several years (a long time ago) I became very fond of Cafe Au Lait (and I still prefer it over all the fancy and fattening newer-fangeled concoctions that people call “coffee” these days.

Anyway, I saw two items at Bialetti that really caught my eye (besides the gorgeous and colorful cookware!) are the “Cioccoleta & Cappucciino” Maker & Milk Frother as well as the simple mircowave milk frothing mug: http://www.bialettishop.com/MilkFrother/FraboskFaenza.htm.

I think the “You’re the best” collection mug is very sweet. I’d love to sip my morning coffee from that!

I absolutely ADORE these pans, and I’d love to own an entire Aeternum set in pink. I’ve been eyeing a saute pan like this with the white interior at Target for a while b/c it seems like a great idea, very healthy, and the white interior is so pretty! Now that I know they come in pink, I will be working to collect an entire pink cooking set! I’m moving into a new apartment this week, and these would be perfect in my new place. Hopefully biatelli will make even more pink items so I can create a whole set! Thanks for posting these, and I hope I win! Also, how do you wash yours? I see it says dishwasher not recommended, but that doesn’t bother me – as pretty as these are, I’ll baby them for life. But do you use dawn? A sponge? washcloth? Would love to know what you think works best. Thanks!
